Mary - I'm having a problem getting the low f-stop with the digital camera...I see (if you are using digital) that you are very good with that...are you using a high end camera with that capability? or what? thanks - Judy

Judy, I use a Nikon D300s. I shot this with my 55-200 zoom lens opened about as wide as it would go to f4.6. Normally, I would have used my 60mm macro lens, which will stop down to 2.8. Do you have a DSLR or a digital point and shoot?

Since I went digital, I'm using a Sony DSC-H2 and a DSC-H20; the H-20 will go to 3.5; the H2 goes to 2.8 but it doesn't seem to soften the background properly even on the macro setting; do you think perhaps on a regular setting rather than macro it would soften better?
